THE PALE BLUE DOT.

Photo by  olivia maia  on  Unsplash Look very carefully at the picture attached to the bottom of this paragraph. It does not come close in aesthetics to many pictures taken by an average smart phone. But there's an interesting story behind it. One that makes it more significant than 10,000 spectacular HD selfies!  source:  National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA ) On the 5th of September, 1977, NASA launched a robotic spacecraft, named Voyager 1, on a one-way mission into space. Its primary assignment was to drive by Saturn and Jupiter to collect and send back information about those planets as it made its way out of our solar system. It successfully did this and sent interesting data and pictures of these planets. Adding to our collective knowledge of our universe. However, this post is about one other unscheduled picture it took some 13 years into its flight.  On the 14 of February, 1990, NASA remotely instructed the spacecraft to turn its camer

Friends for Life?

Can I tell you something that you can take to the bank? About your close friends and some of the awesome people you have around you now, not all of them will always be on the same page with you: believe as you do or share your values, or even like you. Take that to the bank! Some will eventually move from an active role in your life to become, well wishers from afar, others strangers, and even enemies! This is not necessarily a bad thing—life happens. It is impractical to expect all your friends from Secondary school, university days or even from your former association to still stay in touch exactly the same way they did when you were all in one social construct. Of course, some will but notice that, that number that stays constantly in touch is usually less than a 'tithe'. If they're more than that percentage, you're either Warren Buffet, Nelson Mandela or Jim Carrey (you're probably thinking that that last line makes no sense, trust me, I'

WHY I WILL NEVER FORGIVE TERESA!

I logged into my Facebook profile on Tuesday night, after a simple 3 months offline exercise and had hundreds of, mostly unrelated,  notifications ('Bura Bari changed his Cover photo', 'Osayuwamen Favour Nosakhare commented on HER status', 'Abel posted a a picture with 42 others'...who e epp and how e take concern me?) Along with the barrage of notifications were a couple of friend requests. One of the requests was odd, in that it was from a white woman. A real, white woman. No, I'm not one of those freaked by meeting people of another race. It's just that you almost can't trust many European or American friend requests you get; especially from young beautiful 'women'. The sender is probably in one off campus lodge, in Nigeria (but trust the Filipino accounts, they're real—real recruiters for Alliance in Motion Global). That aside, I have been waiting for a big business connect from 'The Abroad'. And this white woman

JOHNNY BRAVO: The E! True Hollywood Back Story.

THE CLASS 'COCONUT HEAD' Remember growing up and having that one classmate everybody thought was so dumb? Most likely, you met several in the course of your primary, secondary and maybe even university education. It just seemed that these ones couldn't understand the simplest of concepts. They started needing a scientific calculator from when the topic was simply grasping how to sing A, B, C, Ds and Log table for counting 1 to 27. Usually their failure in anything academic was so predictable that whenever the class teacher called them up to read a passage or answer a question, everyone got ready to laugh! If it was a reading exercise, they'd be painfully slow in covering a short passage and in that, they'd still make several hard to recognize pronunciations of seemingly simple words, like pronouncing 'Pak-ah-Gee' for 'package, 'Deh-nai-see' for 'Denise', 'Nahai-cee' for 'Nice', 'Kee-ked' for 'kicked&#
